Scooter Buying-Pricing Out and a Few Small Purchases

I had know for a while that I wanted to get my motorcycle permit/license and buy a scooter. I wanted the freedom it would give me and since I am relatively short and it is hard for me to see when I drive a car (unless I have a pillow and automatic pedals) I knew the motorcycle/scooter route was for me. At first I looked at 50cc scooters, but here in MA you can not go on the highway with them, and although that would have been fine, some of the places I wanted to go required highway travel so that was a no go. So I started pricing out 150cc scooters, there were a bit more expensive but not too bad, so I sent an email to the shop where I wanted to buy my scooter for a final price with shipping and the add ons that I wanted. When I got the email back it was under a grand-I was pleased. I also started pricing out the "accessories" that I would need for it; helmet(s), cover, a bully lock, oil, ratchets, etc...I of course wanted to get the best price possible so I did a bit of shopping around before I dove right in. I then made a few purchases now: I bought a pink GPS that was equipped with Bluetooth, that was 50 on eBay, I bought a Bluetooth helmet for 49.32 including shipping. It was brand new but had a scuff mark of where it bumped another helmet. Ebay also sent be a 20 dollar coupon for being a frequent shopper. So I immediately knew I wanted to buy a ratchet/screw driver set. And I knew I wanted it to be pink so after a quick search on eBay I found one, a 52 piece set for 20.99, so I used my coupon and got the price down to .99, I then get .42 in eBay bucks, so that brought the price down to 57 cents. Not bad for a 52 piece set. I also bought some lights that attach to the tire valves. I bought 4 of them for $2.99. I plan to keep buying the other needs as time goes on, as well as putting money aside so I can purchase the scooter. But this is what I have so far. I will update as I buy stuff.

Graze Box Review

I just recieved my Graze box, it was the first time I ordered it and honestly I was surprized.

I received four individual packets in my box. They were bonnie bee oatbakes, jelly doughnut, lightly toasted pistachios, and apple and cinnamon flapjack. So far I ate all but the pistachios. They have all been very delicious and I feel like they gave me a good selection. The apple and cinnamon flapjacks were my favorite, but I honestly loved everything in this book. I do wish the boxes were a little bigger and offered a little bit more but I am impressed with this. If you would like to try out Graze, below is a code for your 1st and 5th boxes free and you can cancel at any time (even after your free box) I do recommend giving graze a try and if you do please comment and tell me what you thought.

One Month Tongue and Monroe Piercing Update

Well today marks the one month since I got my tongue and monroe pierced. They are both pretty much healed and I have no pain at all. I was able to change the tongue jewelery after a week and monroe after a week and a half. I have had some issues with my monroe after I changed it. I put a bioflex jewelry in, and for some reason if I were to open my mouth wide, like to take a bite of a big burger my jewelry would pop out. I switched it to a internally threaded one and no longer have that problem. I plan on switching back to a bioflex once I become more accustomed to it. With my tongue I had it pierced at a 12g but shrank it to a 14g. I did this because I was having a hard time finding any 12g jewelry that I liked. When I changed it, I never really noticed it being loose in my mouth. Both piercings are healing nicely. My monroe has had a little more of a hard time with the healing but extra sea salt soaks help it. People have asked me if I would get them pierced again and I would. Healing really wasn't that bad and I love my piercings.

Happy Mother's Day and a vent about my birth mother.

On this mother's day I think about my adoptive momma and how thankful that she adopted my twin brother and I. I never really appreciated the sacrifice and all she has done for me until I became a mom myself. I don't think I will ever be able to thank her enough for everything, all I can hope is that I make her proud. After all I am the women I am today because of her and although I have had my share of issues over the year- she was always there for me, whether I needed my mom or my best friend. As much as I owe her, I feel guity because every Mother's Day my mind thinks about another women- my birth mother. I have such conflicted emotions whenever I think about her. I am thankful she gave me life, however I am mad and angry that when she had the chance to be in her little girls life, she wasn't. Did she ever think about me on Mother's Day or birthdays, or Christmas? Did I ever cross her mind, was she ever curious how I was doing. Maybe she was still learning how to be a mom, maybe she wanted to forget the life when she was younger, maybe it hurt her to see the little girl that got taken from her when she was 16. Whenever I think about her, I think of a song by Kellie Pickler-I Wonder. I have sang and listened to this song so many times and "And would you even recognize The woman that your little girl has grown up to be"

All About My Monroe Piercing-Common Questions

So today is 12 days since I got my monroe and my tongue pierced. My tongue has healed great and I changed it after a week. My monroe has taken a bit longer to heal and honestly I think it is because I kept hitting it on everything. I put some common questions together and hopefully they help, if there is anything else you would like to know please comment below.

Common Questions

Why Did You Get It Pierced? I always liked the look of a small stud on my lip, before I got it done though I got a some nail jeweled and I used eyelash glue and put one in the spot that I wanted and I left it there for a few days. This was to make sure I really did like it and really wanted it and wasn't just getting a piercing I would hate later.

Did It Hurt? For me it hurt more than my tongue, on a scale of 1-10 where 10 is the worst, the pain level was about a 3/4. The piercer said it could have been more painful due to the fact I got it done after my tongue so my brain was already sensed the pain.

How Long Did It Take? It took about two minutes to get pierced. She marked the spot and asked if I liked it, at first I didn't so she marked it again and then told me to take a breath and it was over.

What Can You Eat? I ate everything I normally did, just slower. It wasn't painful when I ate, just uncomfortable and a bit annoying.

How About Aftercare? I bought walmart brand of Crest Pro Health Alcohol Free and some distilled water and sea salt. I also bought a new toothbrush, I have an electric one but while the piercings were healing, I wanted to keep as little bacteria out of my mouth. So I would brush three (Morning, noonish, bedtime) and gargle at the same time. I also would use q-tips to clean around the piercing with salt water solution. And then right before bed I would soak a cotton ball in the salt water solution and let it rest on the piercing for about a minute.

When Can I Change It? It depends all upon what your piercer says, mine said a week in a half- two weeks. Basically I waited until it wasn't as sore as it was.

Did It Hurt To Change It? yes it did hurt to change it, the inside of my mouth hurt more, basically like i bit the inside of my mouth but not to to bad where my eyes would water.

What Size To Change It To? I changed mine to 16 g 5/16. But go on what your piercer recommends.

Bioflex or Metal? I got mine pierced with stainless steal, but when it was time to change it I changed it to bioflex since it felt more natural in my mouth and since most metal jewelry bother's me.

I hope this helps some of you, if you have any other questions about piercings in general, the monroe, tongue, ears, nose, eyebrow, helix; please just leave a comment and I will do my best to answer them.

All About My Tongue Piercing-Day 7

It has been over one week since I got my tongue pierced and things are going great. I ended up changing it today since all the swelling as gone down, my piercer said I could change it in a week and a half anyways so only a few days off. I have no more swelling, I can eat everything I could before. I am a bit more cautious but I think I am slightly paranoid. I still care for it the same way with brushing my teeth and gargling with mouthwash. A note on changing it: it was a pain. I could not get the ball off for the life of me, but used gloves and that helped but then putting the new one in and screwing the ball back on was a bit of a task as well only because I have nails and was drooling-a lot. But eating is easier, I no longer have a bar flapping in my mouth. I did have to switch from a 12g to a 14g, well I didn't have to I wanted to because 12g was very hard to find and I wanted something a bit easier. I havn't noticed a real difference in the size at all it isn't real loose and fits perfectly.
