So today is 12 days since I got my monroe and my tongue pierced. My tongue has healed great and I changed it after a week. My monroe has taken a bit longer to heal and honestly I think it is because I kept hitting it on everything. I put some common questions together and hopefully they help, if there is anything else you would like to know please comment below.

Common Questions
Why Did You Get It Pierced? I always liked the look of a small stud on my lip, before I got it done though I got a some nail jeweled and I used eyelash glue and put one in the spot that I wanted and I left it there for a few days. This was to make sure I really did like it and really wanted it and wasn't just getting a piercing I would hate later.
Did It Hurt? For me it hurt more than my tongue, on a scale of 1-10 where 10 is the worst, the pain level was about a 3/4. The piercer said it could have been more painful due to the fact I got it done after my tongue so my brain was already sensed the pain.
How Long Did It Take? It took about two minutes to get pierced. She marked the spot and asked if I liked it, at first I didn't so she marked it again and then told me to take a breath and it was over.
What Can You Eat? I ate everything I normally did, just slower. It wasn't painful when I ate, just uncomfortable and a bit annoying.
How About Aftercare? I bought walmart brand of Crest Pro Health Alcohol Free and some distilled water and sea salt. I also bought a new toothbrush, I have an electric one but while the piercings were healing, I wanted to keep as little bacteria out of my mouth. So I would brush three (Morning, noonish, bedtime) and gargle at the same time. I also would use q-tips to clean around the piercing with salt water solution. And then right before bed I would soak a cotton ball in the salt water solution and let it rest on the piercing for about a minute.
When Can I Change It? It depends all upon what your piercer says, mine said a week in a half- two weeks. Basically I waited until it wasn't as sore as it was.
Did It Hurt To Change It? yes it did hurt to change it, the inside of my mouth hurt more, basically like i bit the inside of my mouth but not to to bad where my eyes would water.
What Size To Change It To? I changed mine to 16 g 5/16. But go on what your piercer recommends.
Bioflex or Metal? I got mine pierced with stainless steal, but when it was time to change it I changed it to bioflex since it felt more natural in my mouth and since most metal jewelry bother's me.
I hope this helps some of you, if you have any other questions about piercings in general, the monroe, tongue, ears, nose, eyebrow, helix; please just leave a comment and I will do my best to answer them.
