ALL ABOUT MY TONGUE PIERCING-Day 1

I got my tongue pierced yesterday at three so a little over 24 hours. I did prepare a little bit before I got it done, I watched a few YouTube videos of people getting it down and aftercare, those helped and helped me to basically know what to expect. I also went and bought some ibuprofen, bottled water, and a new toothbrush. My tongue piercing was 30 dollars, regularly they are 40 but I had my college ID so I got a discount. When I got there I filled some paperwork out and they set up which took maybe five minutes and then it was piercing time. Since I was also getting my Monroe done, my piercer asked which piercing I would like done first, and since I was most scared of my tongue I did that first. Pain-wise was about a 0-1, i really didn't feel it. She put the dots on my tongue and then added the clamp so it lined up, then she gave me a little bib like they have in the dentist, told me to take a deep breath and that piercing was done. I really was not that bad. In some of the YouTube videos I have watched they said that they can't eat, no dairy, no spicy foods, etc. and with me that was not the case at all. When I got home around 6 I wasn't in to much pain and it really wasn't that swollen but I took an ibuprofen and drank some cold cold cold water which helped. Since it was dinner time and we were having pizza I decided to try to eat it and honestly that wasn't that bad either, it was just a little uncomfortable but nothing horrible so I was able to eat the pizza and today I had some fried chicken, it takes me a little longer to eat and at first i bit the ball a few times, but nothing horrible and honestly at day 1 it isn't that swollen and the only part it is sore at is the bottom of my mouth. Will be writing another post tomorrow about Day 2, if you have any questions please comment and I will answer them.
